In the past, when we talked about
management, normally in our perception, it refers to business and cooperation
and while speaking of education, it’s more about research, theories and serious
scholars. These 2 words seem quite separate from each other, but as society
developing and changing, the 2 converged as management education.
We tried to find the formal definition
but failed, maybe just because the role of management education is always
changing. Or maybe even Google feels reluctant to define because the role of it
changes in the every minute. We identified several changes occurring and later
in our group and individual blog we will explain and analyze why it changes
· The content ( From
theory introduction to skills application)
For example let’s say
in China, students used to be work separately but now team study is more prevailing.
Because as the more and more companies realized cooperation is inevitable
within organization, professors can’t merely describe team building theories
like (forming, storming norming, performing) to help the students experience
cooperation. We have to form team randomly or force to form by teacher, at least
we should learn through our own experience on how to cooperate. Apart from
that, cooperation sometimes cooperate with universities to develop tailored
education for employee, it’s like a synergy for both parties, since for
universities they need real case for further study and for company they need
universities to address the needs on knowledge and culture. (Like the
cooperation between VTC and company)

The
management education is to help the managers of an organization to deal with
the complex business environment. To make an organization with sustainable long

changing of the global business environment. Therefore, the historical

method.

to integrate “sustainability” into an organization’s strategy and
operations
-Case

-Interactive
and Strengthen in Communication Skills
-Through
Lectures, Movies/Video Clips
-Projects
in association with industries and companies
e.g.
Hong Kong University of Science & Technology

3) Networking

with diverse groups, executives from various industries, functions & region. Classmates would share experience and
insights in various perspectives; so as alumni and the faculty – to build a new

e.g.
University of Hong Kong Science & Technology
Willpower
of 2 EMBA alumni of HKUST
Networking also counts
Once
admitted by a school, the alumni identity accompanies whole life. Admit or not,
the alumni identity can easily unfreeze the stranger’s ice immediately. It
helps you enlarge your social net and the similar experience become the first
facilitator to build trust. It doesn’t matter what you learned, it matters who
you know.as the old saying points out.
·
The influence of Symbol
You
won’t recognize luxury value its price unless you find its symbol for status.
The same with education, most people can’t value education unless they feel the
privilege education provided. HR added value for education through put
education requirements on job requirements
we will introduce more information about what drives the change internally and externally in our coming group blog and individual blog.
